About us

We are a public hall in the centre of Witney, located in West Oxfordshire we serve the town by providing an arts venue that all can use and enjoy.

Whether you are looking for Music, theatre, comedy nights, lectures, conferences or even weddings we are the venue for you. With a wonderful 19th Century building incorporating all the character you would expect, plus the addition of modern facilities, and not forgetting our wonderful in house café and bar 1863, we really are a destination and focal point for the people of west Oxfordshire and beyond.

Our facilities

We have two rooms available for hire;

The Main Hall – situated on the ground floor, which is a very large and versatile space. Capacity is for up to 131 people seated and 200 standing (current restrictions apply)

The Gallery Room – located on the first floor, a cosier and more intimate space, overlooking Market Square. Capacity is up to 60 people (current restrictions apply) Lift access available.

Our Lobby now boasts a brand new café/bar, which makes the perfect addition to any event. Additionally the bookings office is situated in the lobby so if you have any questions about what’s on or what we can offer, this is the place where we can answer those questions.
Kitchen and WC facilities on site.
